The Central Pacific region o f Costa Rica i s among one o f the best sports fishing destinations i n the world and home since 2013 to the Offshore World Championship. I t is the bill fishing that has made the area famous, with sailfish being the most abundant.

There is all year round fishing and typical fish that can be found are Pacific Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Pacific Sailfish Dorado, Snapper, Yellow Fin Tuna, Mackerel, Rooster-fish and Snook.

Both in shore and off shore charters are available and are generally offered as half day, three quarter or full day packages.
